Carberated LSX Hood Clearance

I am weighing my options for an LSX swap and was wondering if a carberated LSX would clear the factory hood. I have my doubts, just looking for confirmation.

Re: Carberated LSX Hood Clearance

Edit - most say an ls with a carburetor won't fit. One guy seems to have done it, though.

I will also throw this out there. I used a hedman ls swap kit with engine mounts and crossmember. Someone commented that my engine appeared to sit lower than other ls swaps. The right combo of engine mounts, manifold, carburetor, and air cleaner would probably fit.

Re: Carberated LSX Hood Clearance

A lot will depend on the height of the intake manifold. Most lsx carb intakes are higher than traditional SBC low profile ones which makes it trickier to fit.
