which intake for 4.8 build
I am in the process of building a 4.8 cammed for midrange power with 6k redline, prc stage 2.5 heads,36# injectors, built 4160e, factory 3:42 gears all in 86 Camaro.
I'm stuck with choosing the factory 4.8 truck intake vs ls6 intake vs fast intake. Which intake would be best for application?
I also plan to get a 6.0 shortblock later on down the line and swap everything over ....

What are your power goals for each engine? N/A or boosted? The truck intakes provide great power per dollar spent but all OEM intakes will be limited in one way or the other. If your power goals are modest, and your budget equally as modest, a newer truck intake is the best bang for the buck. The 6.0 on the other hand has many options, all depending on what power levels you are looking at (and head style, square vs cathedral).

no boost no spray. 400+ flywheel power, this will not be a daily driver but want to have some street fun and take occasional road trips

The truck intake (2008 to 2013) will be perfect for that. If you have hood clearance issues, an LS2 intake would fit the bill as well. That's a reasonable goal for a 4.8.
