5.3 4l60e questions.

Engine and trans are mounted in the vehicle. Is it possible to use the stock throttle cable with the ls6 intake? Second question is am i able to use a truck 4l60e shift cable bracket along with the stock thirdgen shift cable? I went to hook it up the other day and it had alot of play. Third question is, i just got the harness on the engine, have not rigged it up to the car itself yet. What all do i have to connect to the harness besides the ignition for all the lights and accesories to work? Thanks Id like to get this thing road in the next couple weeks.

Re: 5.3 4l60e questions.

All stock throttle cables are too short with a LS intake. The most common solution is a 98-02 Fbody LS1 cable. Its a little long, but still works

The easiest way to use a LS 4L60E in a 3rd gen is to scavenge all the 700R4 related pieces and bolt them to the new trans. Selector arm, cable bracket, cable etc

For the wiring, read the swap sticky at the top of the forum. For a conversion, the light harness is not touched

I have read the sticky i think you are speaking about. But cannot find the exact wires i need to splice in. I was told VSS (IF APPLICABLE), P/N SAFETY SWITCH, AND FUEL PUMP RELAY/FUSE. Which other wires and were are they located? I would like to drive this before winter and wiring is the only thing holding me back at the moment,
