Hey guys.

How did you guys/gals get your ls engine (4.8/5.3 in particular) to fit in your factory k member, cross member?

I was told that I could use the hooker crossmember , adapter plate, and engine mounts, but If i use the factory ls1 oil pan I would need to notch the factory k member

Has anyone ran into this?

 

I see you're a member here also, that will help you for sure with your swap. Members Linson and BADNBLK have both used the Hooker mounts with the LS1 pan, so you may want to send them a PM to get an idea as to the difficulty of the K-member notching required to clear the pan.

I used the hawks/spohn mounts and have attached a picture of my k-member notched for the oil pan and AC compressor. You don't have to notch it quite as deep as I did but it makes it a little easier to drop the engine in with extra clearance.
