Hey guys,
I know a lot of guys run the v6 upper rad hose for the ls1 pump. As easy as this would have been to do, I opted out. I really wanted something that hugged the rad more and used the hose hanger from the thirdgen rad plastic trim. I had some aluminum tube kicking around so I made my own upper rad hose. utilizing the bends off of the v8 4th gen hose, I bent the aluminum on a slight angle but had to bend fit bend fit etc, then cut the 4th gen hose bends to suit. The reason I used the rubber bends is for any flex that happens. I'm happy with how this turned out. If I get tired of the red it's easy enough to repaint.
the hose had the power steering pump cooler anyway Which I was not plan on using (too many complaints on these by 4th gen guys). It didn't route neatly at all. The hose sat right after the hanger, went towards the engine on an angle and just looked cluttered. The hose I got from the donor 4th gen was actually different than the one in that link.
