LSA Swap: Fuel Tank Evap Line

Hey guys, I am finally getting started on my LSA swap in my 84 Z/28 and the first thing to address is the fuel system. I wish to keep the third gen tank and was wondering what everyone is doing pertaining the Evap line going to the charcoal canister?

1. Are you keeping the canister? If so how is venting controlled since the LSA ECU will not be able to control the purge valve?
2. If you remove the canister how are you addressing the fuel vapor?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Most people cap it and live with any vapors that might leak out. Others will run a 4th gen tank and use the canister that.comes with it. Your last options is to try and run it as OEM intended.

Re: LSA Swap: Fuel Tank Evap Line

1) Remove the EVAP system completely
2) Cap the line and rely on the factory vent on the 3rd gen tank. If you have excessive tank vacuum, replace the vent. Vented gas caps are a band-aid to a clogged/stuck vent

In my experience, gas fumes are due to damaged components (cracked neck etc) or open lines, not a lack of an EVAP system
