LS3 Swap

So in my old age I'm starting a LS3 Vette swap into a third gen Z. I'm asking a few questions about fuel system.

I am currently running a Holley Stealth Ram with a Aeromotive AFPR mounted in the engine compartment using braided lines for supply, cross-over on the HSR rails, and then back to the regulator, then to return.

How can I go about using the lines and AFPR on the LS engine? I am seeing the Wix filter deal seems pretty straight forward, so I might dump the AFPR, but would really like to use it.

Any suggestions or thoughts greatly appreciated.

Mike

As long as you can supply the fuel needs (58psi) there is no reason to change what you have. You can control the pressure with the Wix C5 regulator combo or set your AFPR to do the job. Either or is fine. The same braided line that you have going to the stealth ram can be used to connect to the LS3 fuel rail (or aftermarket rail).

I was kind of thinking that, I need to replace the sender anyway, (gage doesn't work) and am pretty sure i did a 255 pump a few years ago, but I will check.

Do i need to worry about a return? Or go thru the AFPR right to the LS fuel rail?

The C5/Wix has a short return line from the filter back to the tank. Your engine bay mounted AFPR will need a return the whole length of the car. The principles are the same even though one is considered "return less".

Oh I have all that, my car is a 91, has both supply and return lines, so I should be good.

Thanks for the info

Mike
