ls3 swap, in car acceleration, and cutout video
ls3 swap, in car acceleration, and cutout video
Ghetto inspired me to go out and get a litte more video of my car. as well as someone curious of possibly and ls2/ls3 swap.
one video is of the different exhaust notes with the flowmasters, and cutouts, as well as some better shots of under the hood with my swap. Cleaned up a bit.
The other video is a short clip of me getting on it from about 20-100.
6.2 N.A!!!
Hope you guys like them.

NICE...!!!!!
You are making me wish I did 3 things differently....
1. Duals. Sounds MUCH better.
2. A/C delete. SO much cleaner under the hood
3. ....added a couple liters to the motor!! That thing moves!
Nice work man! You were the guy I was trying to think of in that other thread asking about ls2/ls3...and I just couldnt remember the screen name.

wow
You must be proud--thats an awesome car.
( I think I must sell my engine now)
Do another accleration run but get some one to sit behind you and record the speedo.
So when can I bring my car down for that swap?

Schweeet! The exhaust sounds identical with or without the cut outs just quieter the tone doesnt change at all which is cool. Get er to the track man! Post vids
Re: ls3 swap, in car acceleration, and cutout video
Avro- Anytime....
The cutouts, are a great toy to put on the car!! Very fun to go from nice mild exhaust sound, to a full drag car sound!!
The A/C delete was something I struggled with. When it came down to it, I ALWAYS drive with the windows down anyway. So far there has only been 1 day where I wished I had it. Otherwise I'm glad I ditched it. I did keep the fan for heat, but may rid of that this winter for a cleaner look yet..... not sure.....
I'd like to get it to the track some night this fall. I need a good set of M/T's though. These nitto's don't grab for ****. I have some more video that I haven't posted where I tried to film my acceleration and got in the throttle to quick and ripped the tires clean. It definitely takes some finess in 1st and 2nd not to completely lose control. You guys have any suggestions?

What headers are you running - curious on how they fit the third gen chassis...
Also, is this a crate motor or out of a wrecked C6 LS3 Vette?

Nice! And I am wondering the same thing as paul. Only thing I would do different would be Firebird fuel rail covers.

Nice job.
Care to post an underside picture of how the duals are routed?
