I have a 95 Z28 with a t56. In the next few months, I am going to swap the lt1 into my 90 automatic v6 RS. It was my 1st car I parked it almost 10 years ago, when it would no longer pass smog.So the swap will have to be California smog legal, I would also like to keep the car an auto. So I will be converting the wiring to run the 4l60e. If I took the time to film and edit step by step documentaries, including everything, removing the engines, to reworking the harness, even converting the rear end over to discs. Would there be any interest in something like that? It seems a lot of people are hung up on the wiring, People learn things differently, and I think a video could be helpful. Will swapping from a V6 to a V8 in California be smog legal?

It is legal when the car was originally offered with a v8. As long as the donor engine is not older than the car, is from the same class of vehicle,and retains all of the smog equipment that it came with.Until the state changes their mind, there was talk about outlawing gas engines.
