Re: Header Coating

Shop around so shipping doesnt kill you. Find an industrial coater in your area and ask them. It will run you $200 to $400 on average.

Re: Header Coating

Look at a product called Zybar, you can either have a local dealer do them or you can do them yourself

Re: Header Coating

What material are the Speed Engineering Headers comprised of?
Are they a Stainless Alloy?

Are you asking about "Jet-Hot" Coatings for appearance reasons or performance reasons?
There are many, many, many Ceramic and Alternative-Material Coatings available today...
and they can serve many different purposes.

For strictly performance purposes, I have been using a Two-Stage (Inner Coating and Outer Coating) Ceramic Coating System, with excellent results.
The Inside Coating looks like Copper before Oxidizing...
The Outside Coating looks like a dull Steel-Grey.
The Image and Video (YouTube HyperLink) below, show a very similar Coating System:

Re: Header Coating

I found a place semi-local to me offers 8 different colors. I wanted it for the heat aspect, hopefully cuts down on under hood temps. I'm getting the headers coated in black hopefully it holds up good. I didn't coat my last set of SLP stainless headers and they don't look that great after 20 years of running them.
