Holley engine mounts
I searched didn't see what I needed. Sorry If i missed something.
Anybody with first hand experience measure to see if and how much the holley engine mounts set the engine back? I have seen people on forums say that holley mounts move the engines back. the guy at Holley on the tech line told me it puts engine in the stock location though.
I bought the whole holley LS swap kit with tranny crossmember for my t56 magnum.
thanks for any info.

Hooker Blackheart LS engine swap mounts move the transmission mounting plane so that everything moves forward in the car towards radiator.

Hey Qwk, by how much?
Is this the Only way in which the corresponding Headers/ Exhaust Components fit properly?

Re: Holley engine mounts
I've had a couple of conversations with Toddoky (username) who represents himself as the design engineer for the Holley BlackHeart brand. He's offered specific input into various swap threads here, there and everywhere. (You'll have to excuse me if you're already aware).
Anyway, he responded to my specific Holley crossmember, Gen 1 SBC, Corvette cased 4L60.
Toddoky states that:
"the Hooker third-gen LS engine mounting brackets moves the stock SBC engine/transmission mating plane forward by only about 5/8", so the Hooker crossmember will ending up working with some other combinations of aftermarket parts."
Thread at:

Further to those combinations, it's also said that all of the various swap components are designed to work as an assembly for specific applications. Both LS and Gen 1 based.
That said, there have been success stories related about mixing brands and getting good results.

Thank you!
Re: Holley engine mounts
" I think I'm fairly certain about the major cause of the non-compatibility you're experiencing between the crossmember and your BMR subframe. The Hooker engine brackets and crossmember work in tandem to place the LS crankshaft and transmission centerline axis in the same location as the stock SB engine and transmission was set up with. If the BMR subframe moves the engine up and/or back, then it will cause you to have to drop the tail of the transmission down from the stock position to enable the top of the trans to continue to clear the trans tunnel/firewall sheet metal. The only way to prevent that would be to cut open the tunnel and rebuild it around the transmission. I believe this to be the case in your situation due to the interference you are experiencing between the crossmember and the reverse lockout solenoid; there is no such interference when using the crossmember with the Hooker engine brackets, even with the torque arm bracket set to the highest set of holes as you see in my mock-up photos."

Re: Holley engine mounts
Does anyone know if these mounts work with stock f-body pan and stock k-member? Per Holley they said you need one of their pans but I do have a notched k-member for a/c and oil pan. Thanks

Re: Holley engine mounts
LS1 F-body pan will clash with the K member. If you notch the rear and notch the front for AC there ain't much K member left, but that's your call.

Re: Holley engine mounts
I decided to go with the youtube fireball ****** recipe to get the ctsv lid on the LSA to fit the stock hood. I don’t recall his username on here. I know it’s a tight fit on his car and he said he would probably go with the lower profile synergy or kong lid.
Also, since I can run the speed engineering headers and oil pan that clears the 4” stroke on my stock k member with the ICT billet setback plates. That will save roughly 800-900 bucks.
I’ll still be using the holley trans crossmember.
adding a lot of weight to the front will have to address that best I can.
