Swapable Gauges/ IPC and/ or Quick-Disconnect Connectors for my Custom Dash Harness

Swapable Gauges/ IPC and/ or Quick-Disconnect Connectors for my Custom Dash Harness!!!

Excluding the Camaro Berlinetta IPC and Firebird Digital IPC... All the other OEM Gauge Clusters as well as Holley EFI Digital Display Panels and Aftermarket Gauges (AutoMeter/ Stewart Werner) are Compatible!

From 1982 through 1992 all Sub-Models of the Camaro and Firebird had over a Dozen Different IPCs/ Gauge arrangements and far more different Connector Pinout Arrangements...
ALL of which the Electrical Connectors and even the Terminals, have been DISCONTINUED!!!

So to support your particular Third-Gen with MY Custom, Modular, Modern Dash/ Interior Harness for Vehicle with Power-Train or Engine Management System Swaps...

The Harness will have TWO TE DEUTSCH DTM 12-Way (Quick-Dis)Connectors which will allow for multiple IPC/ Gauge Options to be implemented:

You will have the following Options to chose from:

-1: Send me your Connectors with 8" to 12" of Wire with the Terminals still in the Connector (DO NOT DEPIN THE CONNECTORS) this is so you can re use the OEM IPC that came in your car.
-2: Send me your Connectors with 8" to 12" of Wire with the Terminals still in the Connector, for a different IPC than the one that came in your Vehicle but are Swapping to (you found an IPC that you like better/ higher MPH Speedo Etc.)
-3: Send me your Aftermarket Gauges in an Aftermarket Bezel or Images of the Connections and Gauge Positions in the Aftermarket Bezel, so that I can Build a Sub-Harness to operate the Gauges.
-4: Tell me that you ONLY need Wiring Provisions for CAN-BUS, as well as Power, Ground, Illumination, Indicators, GPS, ETC for Holley EFI Digital Display Panels (or similar).

Supported Indicators (OEM IPCs)
-High Beam.
-Left Signal.
-Right Signal.
-Brake Warning.
-Voltage.

-Choke (ONLY if equipped).
-Temp (ONLY if equipped).
-Oil Pressure (ONLY if equipped).

Indicators that are not an option:

-Service Engine Soon.
-Up Shift.
-Fasten Belts.
-Supplemental Inflatable Restraint.
-Anit-Lock Brakes.
-Theft Deterrent.
-Low Fuel.

Aftermarket Indicators may be added as desired.

OEM Speedometers will be inoperable (unless you have established your own method for proper operation).

OEM Tachometers can be used depending on your method of obtaining an Engine RPM Signal from your Swap Engine/ Swap Engine Management System.

Coolant Temp Gauge without OEM ECM Control will operate.
Oil Pressure Gauge will operate.
Voltage Gauge will operate.
Fuel Level Gauge will operate.

My Custom Dash Harness is designed to have Modules (Sub-Harnesses) easily added or removed...
A Sub-Harness for additional Instrumentation is available, or can be done through CAN-BUS or Holley (DOMINATOR) EFI.

I did something similar when I added my Intellitronix digital dash. I got an 8-pin Deutsch DT pigtail connector and wired it in so the cluster could be easily removed.

Ack! That's brilliant! I was way over thinking this when I was looking at installing some Speedhut gauges. This is going into my list of future mods.

I too did something similar, except I used the autometer harness since I am not as talented as you. It made wiring the gages easy, but I just had to tap in for warning lights, turn signals etc. This still would have been nicer by far, and I am sure it would have been cleaner.
