LTX and LSXPutting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.
What head port type? You shouldn't have any issues with the OEM/fast polymer style. K-member and motor mounts do however play a big factor. Units like the BMR raise the engine up a bit making things more difficult.
Correct, unless you have a set of aftermarket heads with a thicker deck. Also, some intake manifolds support more power before they become a restriction, (LS1 vs LS3). What is your motor combo going to be?

Not sure what you mean. Match the intake to the power level and driving style (drag only vs street).
Unless you're running 500+ HP, an LS6 intake will be all you will ever need.

Thanks for the comments.
So from what i have researched, there isn't a thread/post/sticky on this forum of what intake manifolds fit without modification to hood or cowl.
Head type, port type, hp range, that is all irrelevant for the most part. Will a holley mid rise intake fit?
Will an MSD atomic intake fit?
Will a $4500 'low pro' full billet intake fit?
Or how about a Nelson Alien intake?
-see where im going with this?
yes everyone knows an LS1/6 intake will fit everything, even a 1985 yugo. But that isnt really the question at hand.
The closest thing i have found is some really outdated 'ls swap' pictures in that section of this forum.
Head type and engine cradle/mounts very much matter. An OEM head is different than a stock one by enough to cause issues. Same with k members and mounts. Knowing more about your combo will yield better advice. Without this basic info it's just a guess.
