High fuel pressure = stalling?

Lately i noticed my fuel pressure is right at 70psi. Its always hovered right around 57/8. Since noticing the high psi i also took note of the pressure dropping from 57/8 to 10psi right after the pump stops priming. Not sure if the two are related. Now the engine stalls after about 10 minutes idling. Right before stalling the pressure drops about 20 psi (from 70). Id already bought a FPR (sump type), but have been driving to empty the tank as much as possible.
Today though it stalled again and this time i got code P0506 (low idle). Im almost certain all these are related, but to what, fuel pump? The pump is a racetronix (purple one), Its been in there since 2015.. Since i need to drop the tank for the FPR. Im thinking i should replace the pump too. I checked for loose intake bolts, bad gaskets/grounds, maf, plugs, coils, ign wires, cleaned TB. No other trouble codes. Any suggestions, solution, advice, other appreciated.
