Re: New wheels on the RS!
Must be a different design than mine cause mine have never fallen out and they are hard to get off. I don't see how they'd steal them without taking the wheel off either.

Re: New wheels on the RS!
Your caps are flat, mine are shaped like a cone. Mine haven't been falling off because I would have 4 at night when the car is parked, and then 3 when I would get in to go to work, then 3 when I park at the grocery store, and only 2 when I came out of the store... not sure when I lost the third... That one might have fallen off... :/
Anyone know where I can get replacements? I can't find them anywhere... Ebay, craigslist... SLP only offers them in chrome and black last time that I had checked

Re: New wheels on the RS!
I didn't notice to much difference in ride quality... The big difference for me was when I went from RS springs to Z28 springs and added the TDS Wonderbar...
As far as the chrome vs hyper black, I can't help there. I went from silver stock wheels to silver SLPs... But these silver ones are a PITA to keep clean. I almost want to get them powder coated black, just so that I wont have to clean them as often

Re: New wheels on the RS!
I got the Z28 springs as stock replacements from Autozone. I did notice a tighter suspension, and also noticed that I scrape the chin spoiler less often. Now I just need some new sway bars

Re: New wheels on the RS!
The biggest difference I noticed with my 17s was the greater tendency to wander. But, mine are 275/40R17s.
I like my ZR1s for cleanliness a great deal more than the stock 91-92 V8 wheels. OMG, those things are annoying to clean.
The Z28 springs will tighten the car up a good bit, but the rear's aren't much stiffer than your stock ones. I think there are 2-3 sets for the rear and they are only a few in/lbs off. The biggest improvement you will get in suspension will likely be shocks as long as all the bushings and stuff are in good order. They won't really keep you from dragging the air dam, unless you are dragging it at highway speeds (like when the car is bouncing).

Re: New wheels on the RS!
Well, the springs that were on my RS were REALLY bad. Every dip or driveway was making me drag the air dam and the front gfx. After the new springs, neither scrape any more. I just wish that I had gone with a better shock/strut than the Monroe ones (they were the cheapest and I didn't have much money at the time). It's sad, I almost can't wait for them to go out so I can replace them with something better

I stuck Monroes on mine a long time ago, before I painted it I think. Then I got the ProKit. You want to kill Monroes, get a ProKit haha

Re: New wheels on the RS!
i will tell you what really looks funny - it looks like my old 91. i bought it new and finally got rid of it about 96 when i bought a suv. that was the worst car i have ever owned. if it is my old camaro i hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
and you have to watch those driveways at night - things just fall off and roll away. too bad the caps will not bolt on.
