new project.....
so i grew tired of the 2.8 (theres just something about a 2.8 liter camaro that doesn't seem right to me) and was looking to do a v8 swap, and in my search for a 350 car with all the engine components, a friend said he knew a guy with an old camaro rs that i may be able to nab the engine from, or at least the radiators and mounts and crap, so i went to see said friend and first saw the thing from a distance, the entire front half was just bare frame (no nose or fenders) and i though to myself, what a piece.
after talking to the guy we went over to take a closer look, he told me he had all of the nose and fenders for it as well as another interior that his father had planned on fixing before he died, his father payed $2000 for the car, took it home and took the front body apart and then fell ill, so it sat apart for about 6 months,
he was asking 600 for the whole car, and we went over to look at it, and i noticed 4 little letters fades on the door, it was an old iroc,
600 for a true iroc, true posi rear end, tpi, brand new front fenders and nose, and two interiors in perfect shape one black one grey,
all i needed to do was reassemble it, and get the motor running (new battery, some fuel ect, it had been sitting for a while) and some basic tuneups and crap,
i'll get some pictures soon, i just had to say something, i've been so exited about the luck i had finding what i wanted,
its a 305, but it'll be easy enough to swap a 350 now, and even better i found an old 350 that me and a friend are going to be building up to a 383 to drop in the iroc,
now i can give the 2.8 to my girl as an amazing birthday present, go me
