my 90
hey there,
been a long time reader i just never really post, but I thought id post pics up of my car. Had it for almost 3 years now, and slowly making it look nice. If you look from pic one through the stages it hardly looks like the same car anymore.

Re: my 90
and here is the finished product (so far), as you can tell, it's been quite the transformation lol...removed the door guards, new hood, removed the rust around the door, painted the black instert in the grill and black plastic around the head lights to match the car, ect.... im still debating on whether or not to put the iroc decals back on or leave it with the cleaner look. but I hope you all enjoy

Nice job!
Brings back memories from when I took my '87 SC and put ground effects on it and fixed the body up. People didn't even know it was the same car.
I think I'd put the Iroc stickers back on it, but that's just me.

Nice job, I think it would look really good with or without the stickers. However, I think if you put the IROC stickers back on you need to paint the headlight pockets black again.

Looking good. I may be biased, but I have to agree with painting the headlight pockets black again.

I agree! Iroc stickers, striping and black headlight pockets. I really like the look of a stock car though.

Funny story about the grill insert and headlight pockets. There is actually 5 white 3rd gens in my are, all camaros of different years and I got tired of my friends calling me and yelling at me for not waving to them or what not, so i decided to make mine different this time around, if I ever sell the car I'd take it back to original with out hesitation, for now I gotta make mine different some how lol. I even rattle canned them first just to see if it would look decent on the car before making my desicion, it wasnt easy

Re: my 90
leave the buckets body color, i think the black buckets make it look dated. look at stevo's car, its a white 91/92 z and looks PERFECT in white without the blacked out buckets

News flash, this just in....it is a 1990, it IS dated.
Oh, and it would look better with black headlight buckets +1 Nice car regardless

Re: my 90
i thought it was you lol, but no i didnt set it back personally and the shop put it at 7 degrees ish. We left it there trying to get the hesitation out of the motor at low accelorator pressure. We did get it fixed for the most part but it'll still stall in fast food drive throughs.we got frustrated so, i said screw it and just keep my foot in the gas to keep it running at low speeds lol. the second you posted that picture i had a pretty strong feeling i bought the car from you. you still working near those tracks? if so i can swing by you can see your old baby

I don't work over there anymore, but I am at Quaker Steak for the show every so often. What makes me happy is you are taking care of the car, not like most of my other ones I sold that ended up wrecked or blown up.
The car went to the right person!

sorry it took so long to reply, just moved and had to wait for the internet to hook back up lol......
but yeah, i baby the hell out of it, who ever owned it before us probably didnt baby it as much as i do. it's been parked every winter so far, this comming winter though i may have to drive it since i spent the last of the money i had to just blow on the paint. and my winter car blew up after 300k
still needs a windshield and centercaps for the rims ( i really hate the rims though i cant get them to clean up no matter how hard i try or what i use and i want chrome). and the seats and carpet need to be replaced (or reupolstered for the seats), 136k though and still strong lol.
I'll be up at quaker steak on july 5th, you can send me a pm or what not if your goin to be up there

Mike
I saw the car and it looks good! I didnt realize it at first, but I was parked three cars down from you. The maroon 40 Buick limo. I'll PM you later but I have a solution for your wheels.
