My 1987 camaro!
Well a couple weeks ago I got surprised with this! A 1987 Camaro! Got it for 800 bucks, I need somthing to fix up as I plan on going to automotive tech school. Its got a V6 with a flowmaster exaust that sounds GREAT. The rims are brand new as well. Installed a new wheel this week and front and rear supports. THe car has a lot to be done but this summer it iwll be stripped of all paint, rust removed, and painted.

So far the stickers are off in teh back the hood is off and being fixed/replaced with a smaller cowl. Will be updates soon!

Yea a lot of the work on the car is cosmetic the engine is in excellent condition and the guy kept track of all the money he spent on it. The old cowl was a 6 inch bolt on, its being replaced with a 3 inch bolt on. Probably going to sell the 6 inch.

Re: My 1987 camaro!
I'm up here in MA, not even close but thanks for the offer.
I have heard good things from the 2.8 and auto transmissions of these things so I'm hoping for a nice ride when I'm done.

AWESOME FIND!!! i think the new wheels and tires probably cost more than 800 dollars. You should probably try and get all those leafs out from around the firewall and such, they tend to cause cancer.

Anyone kno where I can get a patch panel for this?
Its the bottom where the spare tire is located. The last owner put a rag in there to "absorb" the water so when we were cutting it caught on fire, lovely...

Well problem was my emblem was so cracked you couldn't see what you were looking at so I junked it for now, and I regret it as that little pieces of plastic is rediculously expensive! If anyone can hook me up for a cheap price it would be very much appreciated.

Re: My 1987 camaro!
Tried 3, one had one camaro and it was cracked up just as bad as mine, only other choice is drive more than an hour to find one
. It will probably end up costing more to find a used one than just buying a new one. I've been keeping my eye out on craigslist trying to find some who's parting out a third gen.

Maybe I just won't get it quite yet...I'll wait maybe something will show up. I have to replace my exhaust manifold.
Not gonna be a fun job.Well from the looks of it you also got a 350 and I got a v6. No plans for engine swap, its reliable as it is now so I have no reason to swap it out yet.
