Just do a little research. it's not that hard, and it could pay off. Better safe than sorry. It could really pay off.

skeltor no the guy beforfe you....i like money as much as anyone else...i just dont have the space to have extra projects sitting around....if it doesnt meet a certain standard im ,y book it gets parted....im saving an 82 z28 pace car....and an 88 gta currently and already have my 86 and 88 show cars...stored as well as the parts cars constantly coming in and out...so with 4 vehicles in a 2 vehicle space....space is very limited this car doesnt have a title and needs more frame and floor work than i want to hastle with it hasnt ran in 9 years and has sat in the spot where the pic was taken for that 9 years ( in the grass) so i can only imagine the extensive rust i havnt found yet.....the parts will be put to good use..so everyone can relax....no worries and to everyone about the fighting this or that whatever say what you want but dont make this a contest to see who has the last word just move on if you disagree highly with this thread id rather not have to deal with the bs....

I agree that it is great to share this thread with others that have a sincere interest, but the topic has strayed and is no longer really about you parting out cars is it? Page one yeah everything was on track but then the spats began and hasn't really been on topic since. What more is there to add to this thread? Do the humane thing and put this thread to bed...or let the Jerry Springer show continue, lol

I'm just saying, I would hate to see someone stumble apon a gold mine (get it, cause the car is gold. Gold mine. Cause it's a car, that is painted gold, and it could yeild substancial reward, Gold mine) and use it as a parts car. Just do some research, and if the car isn't worth selling as a whole, part it. Simple as that.

LMAO Dang, times have changed here! 2-3 years ago this thread woulda been locked after page one. I'm impressed!
Puma, you act like these cars will be worth something in our lifetime and we must save all that we possibly can. Sorry, that ain't happening in your lifetime or mine. With few exceptions (very few) the majority of Thirdgens still out there are simply disposable transportation.
I'd rather see this guy doing what he's doing and making a job for himself than seeing dozens more clapped out Camaros barely making it down the road...Good riddance to a road nuisance in my book.
You see, the fewer trashy looking thirdgens out there can only help those of us who put the time and effort into restoring them show the masses what they can be. The stigma of a thirdgen will never end if those cars are never parted out and/or destroyed.
What he's doing is a win win for both of us.
And uh, Nick, what do you charge me to put an LS in my 92? I'll give you a winter project!! PM me.

Free country and free market... he can buy and part his private property as he sees fit. Angry that he's parting out thirdgens? Then make more money yourself and buy 'em up before he does.

I find it interesting that only one person in this thread takes issue with scraping what appear to be very easily repaired cars, the very cars this site is dedicated to, the OP even appears to brag about it. I'm all for parting a car that's been destroyed, it only makes sense, but parting a car because of a hole in the floor boards or no paperwork is just lazy. That tells me that there's more dedication to greenbacks than to the cars he proposes to care about.

Stop acting like you guys wouldn't rather make $2000 while you help other members get the parts they need and helping a little part of that car live on. On the other hand you could pour the same amount to fix the floor and get a title then another $2000 jus to get it running. I love these cars just as much if not more then the next guy but I would rather part it also

I'm in the process of saving one by putting floor boards in it. Ohio Title and Vehicle Information will assist you in getting paperwork for those vehicles.

I also part out/sell these cars. Only the no title, rotted beyond repair cars are taken apart. So if you feel the need to bash someone on the internet that is just showing your maturity. I believe by buying and selling these cars I am putting more on the road and keeping them around, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
my opinion is that you should only part out the cars that are junk. you say they are all junk than thats where you are wrong. alot of those car still may have had a chance if brought to the right person and those ppl are everywhere. There for i stand behind puma. and why does everyone think getting a title is such a hassle. i just got a 73 lincon with no paper work and it took two weeks to get a title at a tags place. i wouldnt want you to see that car though, you might part it out hhaha jk, i feel you are doing it to make a quick buck.
but seriously its what you like so do as you feel.
remember what puma said about 68-70 chargers, back in the late 70-80 if you found one that looked like trash you would never think think to resto it but now... hahah they are gold. because of ppl like you, parting out cars until there are no more. just my input.

i think if anyone wants to stand behind chargers a point to stand upon............TAKE that up with the general leee staff....they totalled some how many driving cars on purpose? haha.....horrible example.....what everyone is missing IS not every single car i put pictures of was parted yes a large amount were but if it looked decent in the pix i saved it and sold it roller or somthing...theres one that was flawless but got hit by a semi in the rear....the red 91 z28 in the first few pix had a 88 iroc front clip in case no one noticed..i came to find out the car ramped a guardrail and being unibody it basically bent the car under neath into a v shape...the 79 and 81 camaros were far gone rusted out....even the black 91 i sold driveable condition but you could step through the cars floors...the gta trans am red one had a salvage title and frame was warped...and i can go on and on with the cars....each one has its own story

by killing one car - he's probably saving 6 cars that need SERIOUS work somewhere each time he does it. At least he's not buying them JUST to crush them because I see this happen more than you'de think.
I'd honestly consider buying that gold one from him if he wasn't so far away. I like it. Really has that weird 80's feel to it right down to the interior.

if thirdgens could be restoreed for under 10 grand...and sold for what a 68 charger goes for....i believe everyone would restore theirs and send it off to barret jackson for a quick payday......unfortunatelly they were to mass produced o have that kind of value

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
People said the same thing back in the day about the 67-69 Camaros, and look at them now! I know I bunch of older guys who drove the snot out of those cars in the 70s until there was nothing left. Some day these cars will be worth something, but NOT the rust buckets marokid is parting. By helping the good parts live on, we are simply weeding the field of crap cars... So who knows? If you have a nice third gen, maybe it'll be worth something in 15 years.
I get looks from the younger crowd MUCH more than those who remember third gens when they were all over the road. This is my generation and the coming generations, classic.
Good job marokid! If you didn't buy these cars, they'd probably sit until they were to gone to even part!

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
That's a felony if you do that. Not a good idea to mess around with state controlled documentation and you never know what's going to happen, or what people are going to dig for. If you want to do it right you need to apply for a new title. Obviously, that's going to cost some money.. but it may be worth it to the right person.

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
here is a sad site to see...but im using these pictures to prove a point as to why i part out camaros on their last leg....the ones that if i dont get them go to a scrap yard and either directly crushed or....this happens to them.....say by by to good parts a few of these cars have sat for over 15 years and unfortunatelly he wouldnt even sell a roller for less than 5 grand...once the cars enter the yard they are gonners ....this is to show that if you want to see a car instead of being parted and put to use go to a yard and rot....well heres what the damage looks like...

What is wrong with being efficient? The amount of time he keeps the cars has no bearing on the quality of work or effort put forth. This kid seems to be pretty antagonistic though, and I can see why people are giving him problems, mainly because of his attitude problem.

68-70 chargers really? lol they were all crushed and crashed. There are tons of third gens around not many chargers. Ok i think i may need to say this one more time HE IS PARTING A CAR TO SAVE A CAR. People your taking one thing WAY to far. Most of you have probably bought a part off a parts car. Anyways there was roughly 232,000 second gen chargers made and how many third gens are there? Parting out a couple camaros won't hurt.

He's parting a car to make money, if it "saves" another, it's purely happenstance.

How can it be accidental???? If he sells a part he will obviously be selling it to someone restoring one? If he were parting it to make money why is he only parting third gens? He could make money parting all types of cars.

Saving a car from the crusher is different than replacing a ground effect because of a tear, I wouldn't call that restoration. I'm not aware of his other "exploits", perhaps you should let the lad speak for himself.

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
I'm sticking up for him obviously? Some of your stuff makes Zero sense. I said he is selling parts to someone restoring one or fixing up one. Not replacing ground effects? To me it seems you would rather watch a car rot to death than be parted out. The parts cars he buys are turds and have no titles. You obviously bought a Camaro that needed no work. So therefore you wouldn't know what he is doing. The "Lad" will speak when he gets on but for now i have his back. He is a 18 year old with a passion for third gens. He saves third gens that are complete junk by parting them out and making easy cash.

I make no sense, yet your questionable use of punctuation and capitalization does? If you were to go back and read this thread, you would find that in post #165 I mention that I'm putting floor boards in mine. A feat that the OP apparently finds abhorrent. You seem to be convinced that they're complete junk, have you seen them? There are a few pics that he posted that I'd hardly call complete junk.

Your putting floor boards in it good for you but does it have a title? I guarantee yours does. He says these cars don't so i'm taking his word and i believe him because there are tons of people like him. For example where my dad works!!!!! They buy turds, crashed cars, and cars with blown up engines. The ones with no titles or junk titles get parted out. The ones with good titles that aren't junk get fixed and sold!! This is exactly what marokid is doing! do you not understand?

Re: 18 years old....and 34 camaros/firebirds and couting!!!!
ive been on the whole time......i just am deciding to choose my battles....it seems some people are like talking to a brick wall....i dont need to convince them of anything....with these cars being 20 years old there will be plenty of other customers for me that need no convincing of whether or not parting is right or wrong....they just want the parts to fix there cars and ill be just the guy to help them out...and if i wasnt such an enthusiest i wouldnt own an ls1 iroc.....or a built z28...no of course not
haha how many 18 year olds on this site have an ls1 iroc he bought himself? let alone 2 flawless camaros paid for myelf....and while the rest arnt anything to brag about im 18 and have probably owned a few nicer cars than many of you who call me a non enthusiest....not trying to be cocky the original intent of this thread was to show young guys who like there cars can get there dream car with hard work...

Ok lets say he fixes the gold one up.....
1. Title.......how much? $300?
2. Fix the rust.......$3-700?
3. Drive train, gotta by another parts car or mess with a motor thats sit for years......$5-700?
4. Add in the coat of the car itself....$5-800?
Now lets say every time he fixes one of these no title and rusted cars he spends $2-2500 and he has to make alittle money for his time. Lets say its in the for sale section for $3000.00.......now who is gonna step up and buy it? I bet it sit for a few months and then he has to settle for $2500(resto cost) cause no one would step up.

This is exactly what marokid is doing! do you not understand?
i dont see where i called myself an enthusiest once..?
I think if you were truly passionate about these cars, you would be unable to part out a car that could be saved. Some are, and some are not.

Haps, this post is me calling you out.
You seem to be totally against this kid parting out cars, like he doesn't really like third gens, or he is just in it for the money, however you rationalize it...It's clear to me that you're against parting cars in general.
So why is it, that when I search for threads started by YOU, I find the following threads in the marketplace, selling parts off parted out cars? You say you're helping a friend out by posting these ads, which I can't judge you and say that it really isn't a "friend", and that it's really you selling the parts. But regardless, if it's really you selling the parts or a friend, you obviously are ok with your "friend" parting out cars, so why not marokid? Why the double standard?

For everyone else's reference, car parts for sale posted by haps:

Please, I'd love to see how you try to make excuses and argue your way out of this hole you've dug yourself.
