my orange '90 Camaro RS

Hi guys, I just wanted to show off my Camaro that's been in my family since my dad bought it in Germany. A little back story of my car, my dad bought it in Germany brand new. He kept up with for a long time always keeping it clean and making sure it ran good. Fast forward to 2001 we moved to Texas and lived there for a while, while in Tx my car was totaled, some schiessekopft was mad at his girl and tail whipped his 5.9 dodge Dakota into my front yard and hit my mom's truck which in turn pushed my car over in the grass. That was a horrible couple of months, it was just freshly painted orange looked real good too but the painter wanted to redo it cause of one little bubble. Well the car had gotten fixed we bought it back from the junk yard for $200 bucks, it took ten months to fix the car but never gotten painted, so when we had gotten it from the body/frame shop it was primar and faded red/orange. Well then came time for my license and what not, so the painter said he owed us a new paint job and we took him up on that two years later but he didn't paint it, it was his shop employees which they sucked! But none the less I was happy to drive my Camaro. Drove this car through high school and now im in my career and its still with me! this car has a lot of sedimental and history, my dad asked my mother to marry him in that car lol and I recently took marriage photos with my car in the pics. Also it just hit 193K miles and still running like a champ! so thanks for reading my horrible grammar and boring story lol

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

Damn man, I like it! Mostly stock but obviously cared for.

I've always been a sucker for loud primary color/flat black secondary color cars. Looks ratty but in a good way. Wheels look good too. The air dam and parking lights are in damn good condition for that mileage.

Any go-fast mods?

thanks man, I just repainted the grill so it looks a lot better, and today my new tires come in. As for go fast parts, open element air filter, and 3 inch cat back exhaust with hooker aerochamber muffler. plans for this car is a new paint job, with gloss black hood and gloss black hawks finch spoiler, I wanna polish my wheels and have the faces painted black. Performance plans rebuilt 350 with set of awesome heads and tpi harness swap and mini ram set up but I have a 350 long block just looking for a shop to machine it and what not.
Btw waiting on a cd so I can post my pics of my car from my wedding pics.

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

so yesterday while driving I lost all brake pressure, turns out it was my wheel cylinder from my passenger side drum. so it was too easy of a job, turns out I was wrong I some how stripped the threads on my brake line. Now my brain is thinking should I (A) just replace the line since my rear end needs to be overhauled, because its now a one wheel wonder. OR (B) find a fourth gen drum rear end and have taller gears. Decisions decisions either way I will my car running by this weekend.

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

went to the myrtle beach bash car show was really nice.Ran into some cool people who have third gens also, shared alot of great knowledge. Also made a list of parts that over time ill be buying. not much of an update besides i have to get a new neutral safety switch, mine lasted 23 years so thats another thing i would like to do is stat replacings switches and sensors, other than that car ran amazing from fort bragg to myrtle beach i was kinda worried i would have a problem which i did but it was no biggie.

Today I also bought black carpet in near perfect condition for thirty bucks. Tomorrow I will also repaint my buckets and try realign my head lights. Also for got to mention I drilled two holes in my fenders to fix my sagging gfx so got that fixed. Next pay check ill buy either hid kit from hawks or buy the $125 for all new bushings, ill try and put pix up tomorrow.

Great car, carpet looks perfect!

Touch up that front spoiler with a orange spray can! It'll look better from 20ft away! I touch mine up often..

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

got my headers just gotta make a decision if I want to try and put them on my self or pay someone, also I got my old sub woofer box so now I just need to get an amp and a 12 inch. now I thinkin about finding a decent 350 and putting my lt1 intake along with the Ls coil packs on, I have some aluminum LT1 heads that I can trade or sale. but ill save that til tax return season. What I need to go find out is if I can use any efi system to hook up the lt1 intake with a gen 1 sbc.

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

Just put them on yourself. They aren't that hard.

Are you talking about putting TBI on a LT1? TBI isn't going to work with a LT1 intake, you'll need to swap to TPI.

no what I want to do Is get a gen 1 sbc, put some L98 heads with the lt1 intake, and then put the LS1 coil packs on. just a dream and if it can happen question.

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

diving the Z is soo much fun especially with the cut outs open.
I have a problem now though, I have a 2 bolt main 350 a set of 882 heads and an lt1 intake and spare alu. lt1 heads. should I build the 350 use the 882 heads have em ported and polished and use the lt1 intake with a tpi harness.?? or sell everything wait til tax time buy a donor 4th gen lt and swap everything over?

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

Re: my orange '90 Camaro RS

I'm not sure what's involved in the LS1 swap. I haven't looked into it yet, but I think alot of the stuff like motor and transmission mounts you can buy from aftermarket places. I think most is bolt on stuff too.
