1992 RS Autocross
Just thought these were cool pics...
Had a rough week. A really close friend/coworker got laid off today, a former coworker was killed in a car accident Tuesday. Bombed my differential equations exam yesterday...
So, basically Im just sharing these for the hell of it to blow off some steam. I thought a few of them were really, really cool action shots:

I placed 16 out of 24 overall.
This is the one where I got sideways:

Sorry about the recent issues but the car looks great. Looks like you had some fun. I haven't made it out to any autox events in a couple years. Hopefully this spring that will change.

Yup. I'm thoroughly jealous that you can still AutoCross in December in Georgia. In Illinois after mid October it gets iffy. What suspension work have you done?

Re: 1992 RS Autocross
Suspension is actually mostly "stock". Has polyurethane bushings for the sway bars and front and rear LCA's. 34mm IROC front sway bar, 24mm TA rear sway bar (Which is probably why it's so tail happy in certain situations, the combo is a bit mismatched but I like it). It has cut springs from an IROC and Koni yellows. The panhard bar is a tube piece with a rod end on one side, it has LCARBS, and it has sfc's. That about covers it. It's a lot but it's nothing outlandish. Im hoping to get some rear LCA's with rod ends from Founders pretty soon. I feel like it will really help reduce binding in the rear suspension. It can move any way it needs to, but you can tell there's too much resistance from the bushings in the movement of the rear axle.

Re: 1992 RS Autocross
Thanks! I got back and forth on it even though Im used to it. I like it a lot usually, and then I decide I hate it for a week, and then I like it a lot again. It's plastidip. Looks a whole lot better and a whole lot easier than flat black paint. It's an SMC hood that I got for the weight savings.
This is what it looked like before I plastidipped it, note my old ground fx are on the car, and the combination of the faded hood and faded ground fx really made the car look awful. It looks much better now.

I later found out that the 82 cars got single stage paint, so I should be able to just polish that hood out and make it mostly match the rest of the car... So I'm keeping that in my back pocket for when I get tired of the plastidip. The headlight buckets are plastidip too.

Re: 1992 RS Autocross
Thanks for sharing those videos! Its really inspiring me to get out there & do some autocrossing. Unfortunatly while I was inspecting a few things the other day & changing my oil I found a stress fracture on either the crossmember or a-arm, not sure yet, it got dark on me that day.
But I'll check it out thourghly today..... Looks like its time for http://umiperformance.com/catalog/in...roducts_id=627
