Got my front springs where I want them. Had to cut a 1/4 coil off to get it to set the way I wanted. Could maybe use another 1/4 coil off but I will let them settle before I see if I need to do that.
Is it sitting lower on one side in the back or is it just the pic? My old 88 would sit lower on one side and I never figured it out. I notice other cars in pics that seem to do it too. My old car wasn’t even lowered.

It is but I think the ground is uneven where I have it parked.
The Camaro version of the "proper" center cap is getting harder and harder to find in good condition. I'm not sure what years they were use on,...... but there is a few other cars that used a center-cap that will fit those wheels. They are not a perfect match - but look OK, should be easier to find than Camaro caps, and probably cheaper too. The set on my 95Z were pulled from a from a 98 or 99' Malibu ( Don't know if they were stock on it ) & I think the Impala & Monte had a cap that would fit too.

I do have the original Camaro caps but they have seen better days. I purchased a set of the ones you have pictured that are like new.
So I got most of the interior back in the car. Minus the headliner and rear seats. They will stay out till I get my leaking t tops taken care of. Only 2 things left are an oil change and bleed my brakes again. It will be on the track for the UMI Autocross next Friday and Saturday!
Well was supposed to take my car to a local 2 day autocross event last weekend. Went to load it on the trailer Thursday and the tranny started making some weird noises. Decided better not chance it and decided not to take it. I wasn't really happy with the brake feel anyway. I got to co drive my buddy's 91 1LE 5spd car though! I had so much fun! Here is a pic of me driving his car.

Nice ride man! Seeing yours makes me wish that kept my 84 Berlinetta project if I had that room for it .Are these center caps aluminum?

Hubs turned down for the LS1 front brake upgrade. All work done for free by my cousin. Nice when family has equipment and tools you can borrow or have them do things!
Upgraded proportioning valve is in. This was a drum valve and I did the spring upgrade. My valve was an early model aluminum one and I couldn’t get the plug out to change the spring in it. I had a parts car with the new style valve so I used it with the new spring. In 2 weeks the LS1 front brakes go on. First pic is my old style valve (this is only a pic of what my valve looked like not my actual valve).

So I got all the brake upgrade buttoned up today. I have to say this is the best thing I have done to this car! Stops like it should have from the factory. The difference is night and day!
So projects are pretty much done for this year. I have no more major things to do. Car is put away in my parents garage for now. I might sneak down and put my rear seats and headliner in at some point over the winter. Suspension and brakes are good for now. Do have to put new ball joints in it as I found a bad one while I was doing the brake upgrade. So far I'm happy with what I have been able to do to the car this past year. I was disappointed I didn't get to run my first autocross in it. It will be ready for next years UMI Autocross event!

Been following your thread since the beginning and I would be pleased as well with the progress you have made. Always good to see another third gen pulled out of the weeds and moving again.

Thanks! I would have loved to do more to it this year but with it not being at my house it was kind of hard. And money had a lot to do with what I did also. My cousin had a 350 4 bolt main he gave me and that I think will be the next upgrade. Just have to decide if I want to make it a stroker or not.
Put my rear seats back in today. Also picking up a new nose for it on Saturday. Current one has a big hole in it. This might be it for anything getting done but who knows.
Picked up new nose and crash bar for the car today. Also installed a new steering wheel from a 88-94 cavalier. It’s so much nicer than the cheap Momo wheel I had and way nicer than the stock wheel.
That is the wheel I prefer also. If you can find it, there is a trapezoidal horn button.
Actually, find 2, I will take the other.
I tried to find one of these ones. I missed out on one on eBay. This one looks pretty good so I’m happy with it but if I come across one I’m definitely picking it up.
So just when I think i'm done for the year I get pulled back in. So I will be pulling the rear out of the car this weekend. My buddy who I got the rear from is selling his car and the buyer would like the original rear for it since it's a 1LE car. I have found another rear from a 2000 Trans Am has the same torsen posi and 3.23 gears. It will be kind of nice as I will have upgraded to LS1 brakes all the way around. Just a pain as I thought I was done with the drive train for now. Hopefully this will now be it for this car till spring.

Got a set of 17"x 9" 5 spoke wheels from a 96-99 Camaro SS. These look just like the ZR1 wheels but were made just for the Camaro. They need a little TLC but nothing some cleaner, sandpaper and paint won't fix. They also have Falken track tires mounted on them.
My favorite wheels,... They look GREAT on every Thirdgen I've ever mounted them on. The Graphite is a good color match for your ride too,... I think your gonna' be real happy with them once they get installed !

I got them from a buddy. The ones in the pic a few posts up. I debated about buying them from him. But when the guy who bought my buddy's car wanted the original rear for it I decided that was my chance to get them. I got the wheels and tires plus $300. That gives me enough to get a new rear and rebuild it. Now i'm debating on keeping the vette wheels or selling them.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement! Got the 4th gen rear on Monday from my buddy. First issue was it’s a 4 channel rear so I had to get new brake lines for it as a 4 channel has separate lines to the front for each wheel.Next issue is my buddy was told the rear was from a 00 T/A. It should have had the Torsen posi and either 3.23 or 3.42 gears. Well it has the Auburn posi unit and 2.73 gears! So pretty sure my buddy was lied to when he bought the rear. Very disappointing! It will just have to do for now as money is going elsewhere. It is a posi so that’s the only positive at this point. Maybe later this year I will find another Torsen and get another set of gears.
Well some good news on the rear end. I have found and purchased another Torsen posi unit at a very good price. I have also purchased a set of 3.42 gears. I will deal with what I have for this year and completely rebuild the rear over next winter.
