blue bowtie grill

Im planing to file down the letters on the grill and use sandpaper to make it smooth. Prime, satin black, sticker and finally clear coat
anybody done this before?
I got a blue bowtie decal that matches the paint pretty good.

Im also wondering how to get the light buckets black. Im not trying to make a iroc-z i just like the black light buckets better. I dont want to use paint because i dont want to destroy my paintjob (Porsche m5j with glitter). Will vinylwrap hold when washing the car with pressure washer and car shampoo?

Re: blue bowtie grill

Because the one i have is identical to that except its raised letters and not a logo. It is what i have and i dont want to pay over 250 dollars to get another to Norway and then paint it
i was considering it before but i have decided to do it my way

Re: blue bowtie grill

I don't know about the Camaro grill stuff, as I'm a Firebird guy, but why do you wash the car with a pressure washer?
what's wrong with a bucket of soapy water, a micro fiber cloth or mitt, and your hand?

I use a bucket with soap and a bucket for rinsing. Sometimes i use foam. The kind you put on a pressure washer. I use the pressure washer to rinse off all the soap

Re: blue bowtie grill

Im done painting and installed it.
I have 4 screws mounting it. The 4 towards the center.
it is a bit lose on the left side. Is there supposed to be a clip on either side upwards? There are a hole on each side but its to big for a screw
