Flat Black
This week I painted all the body panels I plan to use flat black primer, because I was sick of having 3 colors of brimer, plus spot putty spots all over. The car had more in common with a cow than anything automotive visual wise. I like the way it looks; stealth bomber kinda feel. Especially with some 20% grey stripes, would be super sexy. Asked a chick I know thinking that she wouldnt like something like that, but she thought it was awesome, oddly.
Anyway, I havel liked it ever since I saw it done in Sport Compact Car to their Silvia project (cool car, other than it only has half an engine, ie 4 cylinder) and then they did it to their brand new Sti. I have seen it 4 or 5 times on the boards here.
I saw Chip Foose, my idol, do a falcon in a metalic blue with a mat finnish, so it would seem that the mat is breaking into the Custom market.
I am just woried that it will be a flash in the pan, or wouldnt be appreciated by the non-car community. But I guess Primer paint jobs have been around forever in the Rat Rod community.
Opinions pleez.

im not sure it would look as good on one of these...theres no chrome to break up the black...
its all a matter of what u like....

I would not do an F-body in flat paint but an 80's G-body or, better yet, a lowered, early 80's Caddy Eldorado Touring Coupe with nice aluminum rims would look awesome in flat charcoal or black.
