Hood bulge block off plate question

Is the block off plate made of aluminum or plastic?

I just found one off a 90 formula in a jy but its aluminum, I always thought they were plastic.

Re: Hood bulge block off plate question

The last 2 formula's I owned had aluminum block off plates. I have never seen any made of plastic. I sold mine but wish I still had it.

Yea I've been looking at pics online and all the ones I've found are aluminum.

A few years back I seen a plastic plate at a junk yard but who know it might have been aftermarket.

Re: Hood bulge block off plate question

The scoop portion is a cast zink, then the blockoff plate was aluminum... I have heard of plastic pieces, not sure if it was a late production or what...
