My 89 Formula 350 to be featured on TV (Proving Grounds on NBCSN)
Third gens in media aren't as common as they used to be, and less so for Formulas. Luckily Proving Grounds on NBCSN noticed the same thing and asked to use my car for their show. I obliged, as you would, and you can see the result thus coming Sunday Nov 3 @ 8:30pm on NBCSN! They take the cars around a track/obstacle course and talk about them after.
Check out the trailer for the episode below.

That’s really cool to see that formula. Looks just like mine before I did the nose transplant.
The show looks interesting but looks like another of a long line of Top Gear clones that try to out Top Gear Top Gear which even Top Gear failed to do to the original British Top Gear.

Congrats. Not sure I could stomach seeing someone else push my car like that, but looks fun.

Re: My 89 Formula 350 to be featured on TV (Proving Grounds on NBCSN)
The drivers were genuine professionals on a closed course (with literally no other cars running at the same time), so I was not concerned. As with any good production, they had the proper insurance. They were car people first, and TV people second; great group of people. The stuff I got to see behind the scenes made it worth it! The Mazda 787B you see on the trailer was amazing to see in person; quite the once-in-a-lifetime experience. The noise it makes...
I would have preferred to been the one pushing it around the track (who wouldn't), but it is awesome to see your hard work come together regardless. This is when the car was in its 'stock' form, which has since been modified per my signature.

Huh? no it was used in several scenes - a guy was accused of robbing a gas station and he had an older Camaro so the production company used my car - was cool being at 2-3 days of shooting the scenes AHA! here's the video look about 17:48 in and few scenes later- look at 20 min in

Mama always said if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all...
Although, I woke my wife up when the guy made the comment about the brakes being “suggestions” as I spontaneously yelled out “that’s what I say”!
if you don’t believe me check out my master cylinder brace thread from last week! That’s my joke!

Re: My 89 Formula 350 to be featured on TV (Proving Grounds on NBCSN)
It'll definitely re-air, or be on-demand.
I did not expect them to walk away saying the 3rd gen was the best car made, or that it was 'amazing.' I had hoped it would inspire them a little more than it did, though. When driving back to back with a R32 it is a boat, with weak brakes. Now compare it to.. other 'performance' cars sold in the US at the time and it would have fared a lot better, sure.
