Hidden Treasures
Morning everyone, I wanna start this off by saying my firebird has had a rough life before I was the owner. my car was originally owned by my grandmother and passed down to her son then eventually my dad. So my grandmas son is a bit of a loose cannon and I've always suspected something was off about my car but I couldn't pin point what it was. The other night he calls me to talk about the car and drops a bombshell, "Oh did I ever tell you me and your dad dropped a 350 in that b@stard?" WHAT?! this whole time I was under the impression it was the stock 305 from '84 but nope. Maybe it should've been obvious, I'm not gonna pretend I'm the master of sbc I'm just a highschool student who thinks he **** of the flock with is third gen
so now I'm lost, do I continue working on my 400 sbc or stick with the 350.
TLDR; My what was thought to be 305 Firebird is a 350 with slippery gears.

Re: Hidden Treasures
Hi there,
A 350 is a nice engine, I bet the car is already peppy. You might be better off sticking with the 350 and selling the 400. You might even make some money.
