which is louder 40,80,or the delta flow series flomaster muffler

Im curious cause my friend has an 92' camaro too with the 3.1 v6 in it and plans to modify it the way i did mines . For now he wants a flowmaster muffler no questions asked. Remember he has the 3.1 v6 and stock converter. Which will sound best. We called jeggs and they said the design of the 40 series wont fit his camaro and he wants that since it says "the originl flowmaster sound" how about the 80 series any loud. He told him to get the delta flow muffler cause thats the only muffler that would fit. One more thing, he said if i had the measurement of the muffler i need in order for my friend to get the 40 series. How does each of these 3 muffler sound. Friend doesent care about how many outlest the car has. Does anyone know of a place that sells the 40 series muffler for a 92' camaro RS. Need information for each muffler.

The 40 series is the loudest mufffer they make. The 80 series is specificly made for the f-body. Its a dual exit version of the 40 series (its loud, i have one!) The delta flow has internal baffles. It is supposed to be just as loud outside, but with less interior resonence (quieter inside) The 40 series *should* fit. These mufflers are a lot smaller than the stock ones so you shouldn't have any problems.

well you will need to know what kind of offsets you want and what diameter pipe. if you grab a jegs or summit they should have the part numbers in it. if you wanted center in and out 2.5 diam. the part number is 42540. add a 9 to the front for the delta flow version.
