Looking for good exhaust shop in MD

Hi all I am in P.G County. I am in need of a good exhaust shop to install my dual exhaust kit. (darn thing is bent all wrong) Anyone have any suggestions? Even if its a pay by cash and forget his name kinda thing. My car is running sweet after bringing it back from the dead, but has NO exhaust. You can email me if you choose not to post the location at wdhoover@comcast.net or PM me. Thanks in advance!!

Try Maryland Muffler. Not sure of their phone #, but they're located just south of where Route 3 merges with I97 ... about at the "intersection" of 3 and 175 (Glen Burnie area?). They installed a new flexpipe on my Sentra SE-R and did a great job.

I wouldn't go to Maryland Muffler again if you paid me. Back when I had my 96 WS6, I took an Edelbrock muffler there to have put on. They bitched and moaned saying it was illegal and some other BS. They did it and the welds were crap. Thankfully, I replaced that mess with a Borla/SLP setup that I put on.

This was back in 96 so something might have changed, but I doubt it.

I had good luck with Mid Atlantic Muffer or something like that on Mountain Road in Pasadena. Maybe worth a try.

F-Body Central should also be able to do custom exhaust work.

Has anyone used Fast Lane Performance before? They are on 301 south in Brandywine, MD. Let me know.

No one local that I know of will do it... I've asked around... and I have connections

Mid-Atlantic WILL do it, but I was told to bring the car in on a rollback without tags, and they would. We send all our dealer's exhaust work there, and it's decent.

The best performance place is over behind Clauss's Liquors on Crain Hwy, near Ritchie Hwy and 8th Ave in Glen Burnie. For some reason I can't remember the name of the shop Look into it...

That would be Tony's. Great work comes out of that place. Mid-Atlantic is also a great shop as well. The guy who runs the shop installed my cat and did a nice and neat job, and was really reasonable. Good folks!

I know who it is, but unlike some other people, I'm not going to name names when it comes to recommending a place to install illegal exhaust systems...

Wow, your insult was bright and mature. It would appear that I simply misread your post. I thought you actually meant that you could not remember the name. It's not like your description would take a brain surgeon to figure out if someone actually wanted to. Your so smooth.

Further, who said anything about installing an illegal exhaust system?

I guess it helped that my SE-R had no tags (and no interior and a full cage). Seriously, the welds on the flex pipe they did look excellent. And I've seen some ****ty welding (like the corner gas station that welded the exhaust on my Formula ... didn't care about quality, though, since it was just to pass Md. inspection).

Hey i go to R&R Custom exhaust its a guy i know that lives in Calvert County right by Prince Frederic. He is Extremely good and has even better prices. He just did my cat back including him ordering my mid pipe, and custom bending my tail pipes for a good price. I had a complete cat back done on my rs and it was 300. Id reccomend this guy highly. you can reach him @ (410) 474-0239 and his name is Rick Utz this is a small shop he runs.

Hope it helps.

I didn't intend my reply as a flame... Sorry you took it that way. I guess you misread the original post too. He said "dual exhaust". Last I checked that is an illegal exhaust in Maryland for a thirdgen.

Just wanted to put in a good word for mid atlantic in padsadena. A friend of mine used to work there, and it seemed like the guys there took pride in their work.

Another one you might want to try is marvins (I think thats the name) on rt2 just a few hundred feet north of 695, heard they do good work for good $$.

try insaneracing.com which is located right over the bay bridge. I've heard of some good work coming from them as i plan on using them to do my y-pipe on my car.
