Good & Honest Mechincs

Heylo everyone.

Bought an 88 camaro as a work car, and now that I got it, thought it would be fun to spruce it up.

Unfortunately, the thing needs work first, no point painting a condemmed house right???

Obvously needs a tune-up, and its burning.... something.

Any ideas on how to tell a GOOD mechanic from a generic one? I want to find someone who is 'qualified' on the 88 style (1988)

My main first concern is to find someone who will give me an honest sitrep on the car so I can decide if repairs are worht it, or if I should just run it until it dies.

I hail from across the Susquehanna from HBG, in the small town of Enola, PA

Mechanics are expensive and tune-ups are easy. If your not familiar with your car...giving it a tune will help! JM2C

Perhaps so.

This is all true, only problem is I have no where to do work. My apt complex prohibits auto work, plus, I'm on call 24/7, and its not ust the tune-up. It also needs other work.

Engine

All I can say for certain is that it is an 8-cyl.

My friend was gonna do a work up on it for me, but he ended up getting shipped out to the big sandbox a few weeks early.
