Md inspection question

I thought about posting this in the exhaust forrum but I figured someone in Md would know. I bought a magnaflow muffler for the Z and I am having problems getting the tailpipes to work so I want to know if it would pass inspection without tailpipes on the muffler? thanks in advance.
I will be trying to get down to the track as soon as I get this thing on the street again.

I'm pretty sure the exhaust as to at least exit after the rear tires.

Do you have anything coming off the muffler. Not sure if you meant you couldn't get the tail pipes on, or if you mean the exhaust tips.

I'd get something on there just to be sure nothing gets up in the muffler and clogs things up

Well my problem is that it has an SLP catback, and I took the SLP muffler off and put the magnaflow on but I can't get the muffler or tail pipes to sit straight. the muffler has the be touching the gas tank heat shiled. so it will be straight. and the tail pipes are still a little uneven. So I was just wondering if I had to use the tail pipes at all.

I might just try a diferent pipe with an center 3" inlet and single 3" outlet (so the muffler doesn't hit the gas tank heat shield) and keep the outlet pipe tucked under the car or something.

Once I get that done and make the ss hood close right I will get the thing inspected and finaly get it on the road and then fix up the RS. That 305 is killing me when I know I should be driving the 350.
