Maybe it's just me, but I think they have more important things to worry about than this.
The reasons as to why to get rid of the front plate on that link is true, but then again 90% of the people who don't want to have a front plate do it because it looks better without it. If they would change laws just because a handful of people that don't like it, hell there wouldn't be any laws. The reasons on that link were thought out, but I know they don't actaully think they would get it changed because "it looks better without one" so of course they came up with all of that instead.. Far as the lights go, I can't stand those bright *** lights. Sure you can see better, but the oncoming car can't see ****

Second the lights i were talking about were for my license plate at night. The 2 194s. I even told the officer i was like they make BLUE-ER headlights on newer cars...and hes like yes and were giving them tickets. Ya sure like your gonna ticket a car from the factory with the wierd headlight types.
I use silverstars...anything bluer or whiter is not neccisary.

I posted the below earlier this year, but it seems like it would be good to point it out now, too, since elections come up this November and you have more of a voice than before. Get out there and do something and things may change.
WRITE YOUR STATE REPRESENTIVES! GET INVOLVED!
Twice in the last three years Virginia has had a bill introduced to kill the front plate only to have them tabled (killed). I actually talked to each of the representatives that introduced or co-sponsored the bill. They said the major problem is that most of the car hobbyist who, they were told, wanted this bill to become law were not being vocal to force change. Meanwhile, the State Police Commander merely says "it will endanger the lives of our troopers" and that, naturally, has more weight than a largely silent public. State Senator Chichester pointed out that there were quite a few states not requiring front tags and it did not endanger their troopers, but if there is not a large unified force of car hobbyist standing with the reps they will ALWAYS buckle to the police. I talked to my friends, I went to many state car related forums, I posted here on TGO, etc., but, sadly, few fellow Virginians were willing to take five minutes and send out letters to their state reps.
Not to rant, but it seems the biggest problem with many fellow members of the car hobby is that they whine like hell on boards or to each other but do nothing worthwhile, like contacting their state reps, when they actually could. If your local representative does not share your views, go out and vote for someone who will.
Anyway, I'm not trying to rant to you guys/gals, I am only trying to help you (and me) get these front tags eliminated.
Hals und Beinbruch.

one of the main reasons some states won't get rid of the front plate is , the reflective matierial on it makes it much easier to pick up with a radar gun.or so i was tld by a maryland state trooper i know.
as far as the lights , they usually don't fool with ya too much if is white lights facing the front red facing the rear and amber on the side. i use silver stars on all my cars/trucks even my c6500 gmc box truck and the low beams on that are brighter and up higher than most people's high beams. (sorry if i came up behind you fellas at night) best of luck getting it changed
