Repair cost

Well took the 91 in as some of you it was involved in a hit and run.

Well the body shop is charging my insurance company 1500$!!! Unimaginable.

Included:

-New Fender
-Pin Striping
-Paint
-Front Bumper Cover removal and rebending under
-Fender light

Does this all sound right? Surprised me! I was gonna ask them how much it would be to repaint the car...but I changed my mind lol.

Glad I am not paying.

Heres a picture of the damage if you havn't seen already.

That's what insurance companies pay to repair damages. Yeah, it looks about right. The body shop may find more damages when they remove the bent sheet metal.

Keep in mind YOU didn't perform the repairs and YOU did not have to look for parts. There are insurance company repairs and there are John Q Public repairs.

Just make sure you are happy with the repairs before you sign on the dotted line and drive your car away from the shop.

all it looks like it needs to me is a fender. tell your ins co. to cut you a check. than fix it yourself and make a killing off it. thats what i do when mine gets crunched.

sounds a little high. a new fender on ebay will run no more than 200 at the highest. paint to match wouldn't be more than a couple hundred, including the pin stripe. add acouple hours of labor and you still don't get a grand. i just got screwed when an idiot speeding and talking on a cell phone hit my parked suburban and ripped the door the opposite way and dented the fender. i could have fixed it all for 500 bux with paint. the body shop charged my insurance company over 3000 bux and did a ****ty job. you should just order a new fender and have someone paint it.

to those in my area, STAY AWAY FROM FREDERICK CHEVROLET IN LEBANON, PA!!!!!!!
