well i just got my application for historic tags. i called a friend of mine, his mom works at the glen burnie mva and ask him to get her to get me the tags that way it proably wont be a issuse. he said that he tried this before and that the problem is that chevy still makes cars it has nothing to do with the camaro not being built anymore he already tried this. he did say that the good news is that they are changing the law to 20 years no matter what in Oct. so i might jsut get regualr tags and get an extension till oct. i still might try now but if not then i will go with regular tags.

I've said this from the first time this conversation came up, I'll wait until I see it. So far nobody has any success. We'll see what happens in October. I won't be holding my breath.

20 years no matter what? that would be cool, and only 2 months away (well 2 months and 5 days). but i do have friends with 85s and historic plates. and ive seen a few 84s and 83s (one guy on this forum had an 83 with historic tags at the picnic last year, it was like brown/primer)
Maybe it's because I look at least 25 yrs. older than my car.
I picked up historic tags in Bel Air....3 yrs. ago. I have re-registered last year thru the mail. It is less money and no emissions test. I told the desk clerk I wanted historic tags for Camaro, a car out of production.
