Looking for a shop... (Central VA)
To mount and balance a pair of new front tires I plan to buy shortly, as well as a good/cheap auto glass replacement service for a windshield.
Ones those minor issues are addressed, I'll be able to get my Camaro inspected, then it'll be off to someone else for diagnosis on a couple of potentially serious issues - engine ticking amongst other things.
Looking for suggestions as to where to go to get these things taken care of. Thanks.

I'm going to take a chance with a budget glass company.. hoping it'll be < $300.
I've got a couple BFG Traction T/A's coming in the mail tomorrow (235/55R16), and I've got a pretty noobish question to ask:
Does the shop need the vehicle present for proper balancing? Ideally, I'd like to put the front end on stands and take the wheels in because the car doesn't have a valid inspection. I'd also like to go to town with a few bottles of aircraft paint remover and polishing compounds, without having to worry about sanding.
Of course, if this works, I'll want to put new rubber on and refinish the rears. Was thinking about 255 or 245/50, but was curious as to how a lower profile tire might look in the back.

Ah I just got them mounted @ Colony Tire in Colonial Heights. Of course I've got a few things I'll need taken care of in the near future. I'll shoot you a pm in a bit trying to find out what I can get done in your shop. Thanks
