Norfolk guy needs help

OK I have quite a predicament here. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I bought a camaro about a year ago and it ran when I bought it and then it went down hill FAST! I am currently trying to remove the engine but I am at an apartment complex and I am not supposed to work on cars here nor in my new place which I am moving to in December. The engine is shot it was knocking smoking leaking missing just a mess so I figure that it will cost more to fix it than to just put a new engine in in. Well ANYWAY does anyone (near Norfolk) have a engine crane or some thing like that that I can use to pull the engine and also can anyone tell me how to do it lol. My plan right now is to just tear it down piece by piece until I get to just about the bare block at which point I should be able to figure out how to unbolt it from the car. Also maybe if anyone has a garage or anyspace that I can rent until the engine is replaced (I know that is asking an aweful lot) that would help out tremendously. Thank you all for looking.

you know, AutoZone rents out Cherry pickers and stuff like that. I swapped my buddies engine for him in a apartment complex a year or two ago. Its not that complicated to do. My best advice is to get the manual on it. Costs about 20 bucks at Autozone. Now I just rebuilt mine in my living room, if your wife doesn't mind it. Saves you money and time if you got friends that will help

I live accross the street from Greenies in ocean view if you know where that is at. I have done a few engine swaps before but I have been in the Navy for the last 3 1/2 years. Any how let me know how the engine rebuild is going. Im me or give me a call at 709-2419 if you are still working on it. I could stop buy and have a beer or two.

I have a friend that is a 3rdGen lunatic and he does great work at decent prices. He could probably do the job for 1/2 what you would pay a shop. Let me know and I'll put you in touch...
