Well its not a 305 as you probably know. its a L98 350TPI, I had it rebuilt about 1300miles ago. its stock internals minus a Erson cam that has .465 lift and 290 duration. which helps me pull estimated 325-350hp and 400lbs trq

Yeah and you can definitely tell the power increase. I just need to get a LSD cause the one tire fire is killing my traction.

Yeah. I had my motor rebuilt cause about 2months after I got the car it was knocking. so I parked it, took it apart found out the bearings were all shot to hell cause they put a 305 crank in it when it was first rebuilt. but I still have the 700R4. im thinking about doing a swap for a TH350 or a 400

Thats good you rebuilt it when you did. Mine had a crack block so i had to get a whole new one and get same stuff done.

You should go with one of them, unless you have got someone that can build the 700r4 right.

so they advntage to getting a 350/400 is that they can hold more power without tearing everything to shreds on the internals basically?

350 are very cheap to build. i never check on the 400. but any trans cvan be built to last but it all depends on the parts put in it.

Yeah, I just know 400's are beast's and they can take a beating, which is what I need but you find TH350's alot more then you do 400's. Ill see what happens. that is along way from now. but I really think getting the transmission rebuilt might be and idea since idl when it was done last
