1987 trans am rear into 82 Z/29 both 3rd.gen

I totally blew the rear out of my '82 Z.28 while stuck in traffic on APG back in Sept. where it sat for about 2 weeks at the museum parking lot.
I have a totally tricked out rear in my son's 12:26eta '87 trans am, and want to swap the entire rear complete with brakes, sway bar, torsion bar, ect.
I think it should be an easy swap since they are both 3rd. gen GM cars.

Does anyone have any advice, or info on this?

What happened was I have a TCI streetfighter/ATI tranny in this, and it shifts hard, also my brakes went out once, and the only way I could stop was to downshift. It totally destroyed the posi unit in the rear, and damaged the right side axle gear at the same time.
Bummer, but driver stupidity, and error.

Tnx Everyone, and hope those that went to O.C. enjoyed the cars, and weather.
Too broke to go myself though.

yea everything should just swap over, you might have to change the brake lines, somewhere along the line gm went to a double bouble flare on the line so make sure that the flare look the same otherewise they will leak

Thanks,
Yea, you are right on the brake lines I think. I tried to swap out the master cyclinder from the '87 trans am, and the brake line fittings were of that double bubble type you expained.

Thanks again, and now to get motivated to do the swap.
