Chicago Area club?

Anyon interested in starting some regularly scheduled Thirdgen meetings in the Chicago area? I live in the western 'Burbs and can most likely get us a meeting place.

I would be interested, though I doubt I'd be able to make it to regular meetings and such cause of work and my girlfriend but once in a while I'd be able to make it. I'm in Palos Hills, at about 107th St. and La Grange Road.

 

i would also like to meet up with you guys sometime.i am in n.w.ind but i don't mind the drive.

there is also 3 or 4 other 3rd gen owners that cruise with me so they might be in on it too!!

Sounds good to me. This sat. is also SCC, but I'm down with whatever everyone wants to do. We could also spend time at 75th and Lemont (4 corners) and get some good thridgen action there.

 

Meeting at 75th and Lemont would be cool. I know where there is a TacoBell down 75th in Naperville that has a ***** population looking for races.

Ok regular meeting place is 75th and Lemont then. Until we deceide something better. I'm going to be there all three nights if anyone else wants to show up. The painting went really well. Car looks good. I'm going to put in the new ZZ4 dist tonight and tighten up the exhaust and we'll see how she runs.

 

I forgot to mention I'll be out of country until the end of August --- but after that I'm available virtually anytime weekends... Chicago needs to have regular 3rdgen meets... I mean they have these Import Nights every summer and the city is flooded with ricers, so it wouldn't be bad to have some real American hotrodder meets, too, so I can actually talk to people who know a bit more than to just bolt their $$$ mods and go..

 

ok...hows next weekend work? next friday and saturday are good for me. every1 list what days ur free so we can decide.

i'm from aurora, and i'm building up a 350 small block and would be very interested in a 3rd gen club.

 

I am interested. Unfortunately, the car is in the "project" stage. I wouldnt mind meeting up though.

 

if evry1 can make it the 5th.,.. friday... post it so we know how many people can show up. if we can get at least 8-10 cars it'll be fun as hell

ok so its settled...friday night at 7 we are meeting at the taco bell on 75th and lemont. if my supra is ready i'll bring it out for gmi fast...its still at sp with no turbos in it anymore. try and be on time.

Both of my 3rd gens arent running at this time. One is still in the middle of a engine swap and my (dads) 386 stroker has the intake off, we are having problems with oil getting between the intake gasket and getting into the inake witch makes the car smoke like we are spraying for bugs. Hopefully will be finished my friday. Ill see once. If i cant have the cars running then i just might go up there to talk to ya guys. Later

I 2 am sorry for not coming--me and the b/f got into a major fight but i am really interested in meeting up with some of you guys.There are a few people on this board that are tryin to get meetings going---why don't we combined and have one big one??

Every Tuesday night is Cruise Night in Plainfield. Rt59 and 30 in downtown Plainfield. Everyone is welcome to park their car and walk around and enjoy other people's rides. This way if Third gens show up good, otherwise you can still see what other people bring. If enough of us do it regularly we could get a spot in a parking lot or something. Just a thought.

 

Im definitly in to. The 386 stroker is running pritty good for now, an my lt-1 swap is still in the works but getting close to the end. Im all about going to a 3rd gen metting


BTW: Robin, im in Texas till Sunday night, im sighning up for school and having some fun with some mustang friends stayed up all night last night putting in a 306, gt-40 intake, canfield heads, mac long tubes with a vortec s-trim supercharger. Its 2:30pm and i still havent gone to bed we are kinda ansie about getting this thing started. Im buring time right now because im bunt out for alittle bit working on the mustang. Anyways see ya later.
