Michigan people, in here for a second...

I am wondering if anyone that lives in the Detroit area does body work themselves, has a friend who is a good body man or knows of a good shop with reasonable prices. My 88 Formula got T-boned, and I need to get it fixed. I was hoping to avoid paying collision shop prices. So if you, or someone you know might be able to help me out, post it here. Thanks a million guys.

why not post some pics of it so we can see how bad it is??

a car that is "t-boned" often isn't worth fixing and if you try is very costly............without even looking i'd tell you to strip everything good and get another one if that's what you want. once that frame is bent forget about it...and even if it isn't a wreck like that often leaves the car never driving the same again.

sorry to hear your luck.

Well i took it to a collision shop-a trusted body guy looked at it, and he said the frame isnt damaged, although mechanics etc. have been known to sugar coat things.....

I dont have a way to host pics, but if I scanned some, could you post them for me?

no i don't.........how fast were you hit; most body people won't want to deal with something if they feel it isn't worth their time; most of our cars aren't worth saving according to insurance companies so it's a toss up. if you think it can be saved then go for it; always get a second opinion though.

good luck
