Whats up guys? I'm from Hartford, probably about 30 miles north west of milwaukee. I have a 86 Iroc Z with a 383 stroker, scat crank, je pistons, brodix heads, 9:1 compression, roller rockers, edelbrock headers into 3inch and then into a flowmaster muffler, ported plenum, be cool aluminum radiator, mini starter, kn filters, tb air foil, beefed up 700 r4 tranny with shift kit, my car is black and gold w/ t-tops. It has the stock rear end in it right now, but i have plans for a auburn posi and 3:73 gears before spring. Do you guys know of any good high performance shops in the area? Are any of you guys into street racing? Let me know whats up, i just found this website, and its pretty cool!!!

Your car sound cool. C n S performance in butler wisconsin is a pretty good shop. I had a local guy that goes by the name of Skeeter set up my 373 rear 2 summers agoe. He does great work and only charged 200 dollars.
Check out Brew City Muscle. Its a message board for guys in the milwaukee and surrounding areas. We have car shows monday nights during the summer.

Rsscoty, What kind of intake and carb are you looking for? Are you looking for a stock Q-jet setup or are you looking for an aftermaket setup? Thanks, Josh

What ever I can come up with. I want to get away from the tbi however after a discussion I find that emmisions might be a problem. What have you got.

RS,
I have an intake and carb off of an 85 TA if interested. However, you have 87-up heads with a different bolt pattern so these won't work for you.

Emissions are not a problem. All you have to do is when your registration comes up, they allow you to change your info. There is a line that asks which county the car is stored/kept in. If you put that as any county outside of the metro area you are no longer required to take an emissions test.
Heres the legal part of that. Legaly the car must still be kept to the standard, its just not checked. If they were to ask for proof be prepared with the address of someone you know in what ever county you put down on that slip. And the worst part, if you were to ever get pulled over and some how the cop figured out that the car didnt meet the laws (highly unlikely) you could get a huge fine.
Ive been doing this with my car, stating that it is kept in the dells area (non tested area) for the past 2-3 years with out a single problem. I got pulled over at the begining of last summer when the car was really rough, exhaust just tack welded on, loud as hell and the cop didnt say anything, just "heres your speeding ticket, try and slow down."

exacly, but it would probably be a good idea to have a family member living in the area that you use just in case they were to ask for some reason., but like I said its been over 2 years for me and no questions or problems.
