FREE Firebird bumper - p/u in Chgo burbs
I removed the rear bumper cover & impact bar/absorber from my 83 Firebird and it can be yours for the low, low price of... nothing. I don't want to ship it, so anyone willing to drive to Naperville, IL can have it.

The FRONT impact bar is now available for the same low, low price. The plastic impact material (or at least some of it) is still attached. The impact material has been modified to mount a 91-92 style nose on the car.

Man, that is very tempting because I was planning on getting an 82-83 rear bumper for my 87 because I want a smooth rear (no bumperettes). The fact that that particular style seems to develope interesting wave and sag problems, which I would still rather have than the bumperettes.
I was also thinking about filling in the space where the bumperettes with urathane like what the bumper is made of and fiberglassing it smooth. I'm just worried if it will crack after a while.
Since its free, no one can beat that. I would definately come up and take it off your hands, but I have a lot of work I have to finish for school, besides, its a 7 hour trip from Carbondale. The cost to me would be 40 bucks in gas. Darn.
If only you decided to get rid of it while I was in still in Champaign, then I would not have even hesitated to come up.

devianb: that's ok. I just helped a guy load both bumpers in his truck. They're all gone.
