I dont know quite what to tell u. The 870 is basically a dinosaur/1 yr woinder for our cars u step to the 165 and u would be able to find lots of help thru here and if u go to a SD system (730) u could find almost any information that u would want..
As far as your 24# inj if you are running a gm type injector your oc should be around the 24 range depending on your fp. If you are running a ford injector they are rated at a lower psi by ford and come out to about 26(give or take ) with the stock GM fuel pressure .... Im assuming yoru not running at the 85 stock pressure of what is it 35 psi range? later cars went to 43 psi for many reasons, all of them good... About all i can think of or help u with a do almost all 730 stuff on TPI's and know the basic 165 stuff.. If u shop around u can do a 165 or to a 730 swap pretty cheap so that may well be your best bet and have a lot more reliable ecm and cheaper parts if something should go wrong
later

Is there anyone around me that would be willing to spend a weekend helping with this type of project? If I could do away with the MAF all together, I would be MORE than excited. I know I can get the ECM for cheap, but when it comes to wiring harnesses, I see them, and my eyes start shaking violently and I fall on the floor with convulsions
It just looks like sooooo much.
I know, it's a matter of taking my time...but that's not something I have the liberty of. I know of one person, which I will leave nameless as he is busy, and don't want to bug him at this time that is "able" to do this type of swap...but like I said, I understand he is busy and therefore do not want to interupt him.
Hmmf. Well, if anyone would be willing to help with the swap...so it can all be done in a weekend (or 2-3 weekdays)...I'd be willing to pay for all the meals, beer, and time. If you are reading this, and are that person...gimme a ring
