not to be rude or anything but this isn't the 50's anymore and ya can't just leave t-tops off, or windows down, or convertible tops down these days and not expect somebody to f*ck with it. There's a lot of d!ckheads out there, namely kids, who don't give a **** about anyone's property and just love to destroy it. Sometimes I leave the keys in my truck and leave the doors unlocked and windows down HOPING someone would steal it while I'm in a store. (If you saw my truck you'd understand) but if I were driving my 3rd gens I wouldn't leave windows cracked or anything without a good car alarm on it.

I went to a car show in Indy a few years ago and someone had a 3rd gen vert for sale, sitting in a lot with the top down. It was sitting there the whole day we were at the show and I'm sure there was nobody where the car was since it was a closed factory. The whole interior was done in tan a red and the body and paint was beautiful. To top it off the area sucked, lol. If you've been to the Indiana State Fairgrounds, you know the area I mean. I'm suprised the car wasn't stolen.

One time my Camaro was broken into while I was about 200 yards away riding on a bike path. As I was rounding the corner I heard a faint sound like an alarm, I look up and there is a couple punk kids with thier arms in my car. By the time I got there they jumped in a Tore-a$$, err Tarus. They only got away with what 10 CD's they could reach and my window was cracked just enough to where they could open the T-Top. After loading my bike back in the car, I went looking for them. And to my suprise, I found them at a McDonalds. If they didn't hide out there for about an hour I would have proceeded to beat the crap out of them. Cops wouldn't do anything. Oh well, lesson learned I guess.

HanSolo0260: If that happened to me I wouldve followed them, figured out where they live, then call some buddies beat the living f!ck out of them every night for a month. That'll teach them a lesson. No one touches my car without me getting them back 100 times over.

Several years ago while owning a 300zx I had gone to work. I worked for a traveling contruction company and we always drove company trucks on the road. I had left the 300 at the shop. Come home after about a month on the road. Get in the 300 and think that there is to much daylight comingfrom the rear hatch. Get out to investigate. Some on had taken a pry bar to the rear hatch and tried to pry it open to get the 2 cheap speaker boxes in the back. They were 10-12 year old wal-mart cheapies.

The hell of it is, the car was unlocked and the keys were in the console. They could have driven the thing off. Instead they ruin about a 300$ hatch.
The bosses insurance didn't cover either.

Well, all I gotta say, most cars only come with 1 spare tire right? I don't think they had 3 with them. Or new valve cores to put back in the valve stems. The CD's the stole from me were free anyway, from the pawn shop I worked at and I could get more, lol. Like I said though, I would have beat the crap out of them if they didn't pretty much camp out in McDonalds. I do odd things for revenge that people would think I'm weird lol. Like at a car show, someone wouldn't shut thier alarm off and we kept yelling to them to do so, so instead of pulling the wire for the alarm, I suggested someone or myself go over and unhook the ignition coil or pull off the plug wires. Told ya, I'm odd, lol.
