Des Moines area, Iowa guys...
What is the best place to get a performance exhaust put on? I went to Exhaust Pros in my hometown of Perry and the guy wouldnt get me mandrel bent pipe and wouldnt replace my cat with a high flowing one. He said they cant touch them unless they are bad? Anyway, i want to find a place in or around Des Moines to get a cat-back put on. Your help is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you need to KILL your CAT!
Jack your car up and take a claw hammer and use the claw side to completely demolish it. Make sure it has a bunch of holes punctured in it. Then take it back and tell them you think your cat is bad. Watch the look on that guys face
He'll know your serious then.

try Terry's Auto Service 75th St & University Av. Clive. they will custom mandrel bend exhaust for you. they can do up to 3". i was going to have them do mine, but went with flowmaster instead. i know lots of people who have had work done there and say they do good work.
Iowa muffler and brake up on 2nd ave north of downtown. I know the owner/manager up there and hes a great guy...pays attention to detail and only uses quality parts (stainless grade 8 bolts and such). Ask for pete and tell him josh from sears sent you.

just take a sawzaw and cut your exaust off starting with the cat, then dont put one on and do the rest of your exhaust. i do it with almost every vehicle i have owned. they just dont want to be responsible for removing it.
