got my new drive shaft....

and it sucks

the shop that was going to tig weld in my cage, said that they could build me a CM drive shaft also. well he brought it to me today at work and it looks like crap. i could tig weld better myself, and he does this stuff for a living

so i need a shop that will build me a CM driveshaft and balance. the so called drive shaft that was already built for me was 3.5". i would like to stay with 3.5" if possible. any one know of any reputable shops?

found a shop in detroit on 26 mile rd that is going to build mine for me.

CCI

i talked with Mike, he was very helpful and took the time to explain to me what would be best. Its going to take a day to build, and then UPS it to me....all for about $250 including a new slip yoke.

250 sounds about right for what you want. i believe i paid 220 for mine...not sure.

have been very happy with it, mike does great work, he's really friendly and willing to explain things which is nice. highly recommend him. very quick turn around. i've had the car up to 180 with no problems of vibration....good stuff! he supplies alot of the local racers and beyond.

- Do they have salt flats in Mich.? Where are you winding it up to 150 mph at?? That's gotta take up some room to get up to that speed! Just curious.

lol....there is a very safe spot to run that high, where the only person in any danger is me, the driver. but its no more dangerous than running at the drag strip or anything else. and we take all of the precautions to make sure absolutly no one else in danger

but i cant really post an exact location on this site

Might have to try these guys next time I need some driveshaft work done. I got the shaft (literally) from Dynotech the last time I dealt with them.
