Usefull stuff for snippy people and others
I got the car back on the road today. Broke a strut on the way home from ThirdGenFest. Figured it was time to step up or down actually. I've had the Dropzones for about two months and now it was time to kick down. New shocks, new struts, new anti-sway bar links, new springs and a front end alignment.
It's like driveing a new car. I should have done this when the new springs came. The wheel locks were a pain(stripped key) but they came off without harming the rolling stock.
The car still looks the same height to me but people say it will settle. I'm running the Goodyear Eagle GSA's in a 235/55 16 and will most likely move towards a wider tire with a slimmer sidewall. It all depends on my right foot.
Handling is 100% better. I can power thru corners now without worrying about the bumpstops. When you really crank on it, it throws you around in your seat.

If Des Moines wasn't next weekend the drivetrain swap would be goin on right now. It almost kills me to look at the 388 sittin' on the fingers without an fbody nest to sleep in. The swap is planned for the next month timeframe after the meet.
Now if I could just stuff all that stuff under a stock hood, the fart cans would want to race again. YEAH RIGHT!
I can't wait till next weekend to see some nice cars again!

Purely curious, how do you know if you broke a strut? I can't imagine you broke one in half....
On another note, I was out in D-Port last night crusing around...saw an Camaro a few cars in front of me on 53rd around 8ish I think and a light blue Firebird(305) for sale in the theater parking lot. Anyone on here?
