foolish stereo hook up

hey everyone,
maybe im just an idiot and everyone knows this but i thought id warn about it anyway since its a costly mistake. never NEVER hook your amplifier power wire up to your alternator. my battery wire from my alternator broke in half so the alternator wasnt able to charge but it was still recieving the signal to charge at full power. since the wire was busted the only place to ground was thru my poor amp. it blew the fuse but also blew something else and shorted it out somewhere because now it just blows fuses instantly. so just a warning beware the alternator connection for stereo equipment.

Exactly . . . although I have never ever done that. I always hook my power wire directly to the battery and I run a 50A fuse block just to make sure. Never had a problem with it like that! :knocks on wood:
