Finally! Some mods

I am finally going to put some crap on my car lol. I have a 305 and so far I plan to go with an open air element thingy, underive pulleys, K&N air filter, throttle body spacer, better thermostat, and a performer TBI intake. It may not be much but it will give my bird a little more boost. Any advice or what else to add to this is welcome too.

Honest opinion? Well, I wouldn't go with underdrive pulleys for a street car myself.

You'll gain what......5 HP after 4000 RPM's with that mod?

Headers, Catback, Cam and then intake - in that order IMO.....

Stock exhaust is a major bottleneck on these cars. Get a set of shorty headers w/Y pipe, you can get emissions legal if ya want. Then a 3" catback exhaust. You'll feel a bigger diff. with just that alone!

I agree on the exhaust...go with it.

My plans for my car include (well for this summer at least)...
-cross-drilled/slotted front rotors & carbon metallic pads
-some sort of ram air/CAI using a K&N filter
-getting around to installing my 3" SLP cat-back
-porting runners/plenum maybe?
-upgraded ignition
-shift kit
-wonderbar
-SFCs
-sanding and POR-15'ing the underbody

I also want to get my hands on a 4th gen rear with either a 3.23 or a 3.42..

You realize that with the POR15 you have to go all the way down to metal EVERYWHERE you want to use it right? That is a lot of work to do, plus you have to rip out the carpet and do the top too because the stuff only works if it completely surrounds the rust. Way to much work IMHO to be worth it. Use it in the spots that need it and coat the rest in matching paint.

If you are dead set on doing the whole underside pay to have it sandblasted otherwise we won't be seeing you for a few months because every waking second of your life will be spents sanding off the undercoating and paint from down there.
