You didnt get a build sheet with your motor?
I own the shop, The thirdgen had a junk tpi motor in it. we pulled it out. built rebuilt a 400 ci motor for it, and put it in the car with the intention of keeping it. the guy i lease the building from says i cant sit there anymore so its got to go.

This sounds like an awesome deal...
#1. You don't give decent pictures. The lower half of the car is alsmost always poorly lit, and we really don't get many pictures of the body.
#2 You can't or won't give us specs on the engine.
#3 Your reason for getting rid of the car doesn't hold water. You say that you own this shop and that your landlord wants the car gone. Why don't you just drive it home and park it at your house. You own a mechanic shop, I would think you could have a house, condo, apartment, anything where you have personal parking space.
#4 Maybe I'm wrong, but at one point you call the engine an sbc 406. Then you tell us that it is a 400 ci block (no mention of boring) and that you have stock pistons crank and rods. Maybe somebody could explain this to me, but it seems kind of off.
This all just seems kind of shady..."Hey, everyone hurry up and buy this car, its a steal"
#1 The pictures are what i got, deal with it.
#2 here is the specs, 30 over 400 with 30 over cast pistions, cast rods, cast crank, new bearings, seals, rings
#3 I live in a CONDO i have 2 parking spots 1 for my audi and another for my wife's lincoln. She also has a 99Z and i have an rx7 as well both are kept inside the shop for the winter.
#4 a 406 is a 30 over 400
I wish someone would come look at this car seriously.

Junkassformula is a good friend of mine and I can verfiy everything that he says is true. He is in the same situation I was in a few months ago. My camaro needed to go and I didn't get very much for it. It had a new suspension, drive train, new paint job and many other mods. Hell, I put $7,000 into it after I bought it. What did I get? $4,000
Please stay out of his thread if you are going to call him "shady" and ruin this sale. The car is worth way more than he is asking. I would buy it if I had the money, but I really don't right now, as well as many other people.

**I guess I am just always looking for my daily dose of truth**
Junkassformula: sorry if I offended you, but when you omit certain details it seems like you are hiding things, especially when you are in such a hurry to offload a car. I know that a 406 is .30 over, but why wouldn't you just say that to begin with rather than calling it a 406 and then later calling it a 400 with STOCK EVERYTHING but cam. Also, why would you say you don't know the specs on the engine the first time, when you do know them. Even still, it would be nice to see a comprehensive list of all the major parts/mods to the engine. In reality, this may be a very sweet deal for whoever has the time and money to run to Chicago and get it, but sometimes there needs to be somebody that is willing to play devil's advocate. (in-laid questions can be rhetorical or literal, which ever you decide since I'm sure you just want to get back to selling the car, and I am definately not into making this about me nor am I really trying to cause any problems with you)
Thirdgen86TA: I forgot when I asked you of your opinion of your friend or when I asked about your car and how you sold it. I'm pretty sure I didn't type it in my post. junkassformula seems like a coherent, intelligent individual that doesn't need you to babble about what has happened in your life to try to back him up.
First, the only facts I had about his sale were incomplete and hence I posted to try to evoke the rest of them. Second, I don't care what condition your car was in, nor do I care how much you got for it when you sold it. Third, if I was unclear, I meant to say that this SITUATION was shady, which would further imply that he should clear some things up to classify it as decent/respectable/whatever you choose for your antonym for shady. Finally, I realize that this car is way underpriced (which contributed to my cynicism) and if I could see the car I might probably buy it at the current price too. Email me, IM me, or PM me if you have something not related to this thread (i.e. more about how you sold your car), as I don't want to cause a mess for your friend's thread
Hell, for 1500 I might PAY my uncle and cousin to drop whatever they would be doing to go look at the car tomorrow, and possibly drive it home.
ON A DIFFERENT NOTE...what kind of MPG do you(junkassformula) get with that set-up?

in all honesty i could probably pull the motor and trans and sell it as a $1500 roller so no i wont let it go that cheap

I would hope you wouldn't let it go that cheap.

Yep, the car is sold. It's in my sig now!!!
This was a sweet deal!!! Why nobody was able to come up with $2250 for this car is beyond me. I would have guessed it would sell right away. Oh well, I'm glad I ended up with it.

I saw it today. This car was nicer than 90% of the cars I see on the street in the summer. No rust great paint perfect interior big engine with killer valve covers mint dashpad big tach on pillar all black interior borla exhaust doors worked good. It was a 5000 dollar car easy. If you could have seen it in person you would know what i'm talkin' about

Death row is a raw deal for this one but we all need parts. I would rather see Denny do it than me. Denny I want the Quarter panels so don't send it to the melt pot before I get em. I will cut em off. Then you can see the 15 minute method that is even faster than a chop shop.
